Social History
The Age, 21st August 1933
Mr. John W. Wilson, of Park-street west, Brunswick, died on Saturday afternoon. He was for many years a member of the firm of Wilson Brothers, wheelwrights, of Spencer street, West. Melbourne, but retired from business some twenty years ago.
Mr. Wilson was a prominent member of the Princes Park Bowling Club. He was also a member of the Independent Order of Rechabites and a constant visitor at the annual meetings held throughout the State. As a lad he attended the Percy Walker school in C’hetwynd-street, North Melbourne, and had taken an active, part in the. Percy Walker Old Boys’ Association since its formation about twenty-five years ago.
